We discussed our January, 2001 selection at Chickadee Cottage Restaurant
on Jan. 25.
The book was a nice change of pace for the
group, being historical rather than fiction. The wives are discussed one by one, as the author attempts to shed some light
on the women rather than Henry, as is the usual take on the subject. The average rating was about a 4 out of 5.
Alison
Weir has also written a follow up book on the children of Henry VIII, aptly titled, "The Children of Henry VIII" which Kathryn
read and suggested to us.
